Dr. Lauren Keats Psy.d (she/her)
Neuropsychologist
Hi, I am Dr. Lauren Keats and I am very excited to be a part of the re+active team! I am a neuropsychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of individuals with acquired brain injury, neurological disease, chronic health conditions, FND and other psychological difficulties. My passion for neurology extends to my undergraduate years, working with individuals with memory impairment at the Center for Mind and Brain at UC Davis. I moved to Los Angeles to complete my graduate training in Clinical Psychology (with an emphasis in neuropsychology). While I worked with a variety of individuals and settings during my training, I found my calling in neurorehabilitation, and have since focused my work to support individuals and families following concussion, brain injury, neurological disease, or other chronic illness.
I provide a variety of psychological services, including individual and family psychotherapy, neuropsychological assessment, psychoeducation, and cognitive rehabilitation. In therapy, I borrow from empirically-supported treatments such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, to assist individuals in adjusting to changing identities and life stressors. My goals are to provide you the tools to maximally cope with difficult symptoms and/or situations, and to bolster your connection to your personal goals and values. I follow a strength-based approach, elucidating your personal strengths, skills, and other sources of resiliency. At your initial visit, I will review your areas of concern, obtain a detailed account of symptoms, and answer questions you may have about the therapeutic process. We will also work together to establish manageable treatment goals. I regularly collaborate with occupational and physical therapy to provide you maximal support.
On a personal level, I love to spend time with my rambunctious kids and two giant Maine Coon cats. I love biking, swimming, running, yoga, petting my cats- just about anything involving physical movement!

I am very excited to be here, and happy to answer questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
