Hey there, my name is Naoya Ogura (pronounced like “nah-OH-ya”) and I’m an occupational therapist and clinic director at re+active!
As an occupational therapist, my goal is to help you engage in activities you want to do or have to do, like self-care, chores, work, or hobbies. I like to explain to my clients that I’m a functionalist; my goal is to help you feel in control of your life, and to do so by addressing the whole person. In addition to traditional occupational therapy, I’m also specialized in lifestyle interventions which I studied at University of Southern California. When you’re enrolled in the lifestyle intervention program, I’ll be your personal health coach and together we’ll work on establishing health-promoting lifestyle habits. It might sound a little intense, but I’m all about meeting you where you’re at and making small, sustainable steps.
I try my best to take care of my own well-being too — right now, I’m focusing on taking more hip hop classes, but I also love snorkeling and graphic design! I think hobbies can be such a great stress reliever, so I hope I can help you get back into doing the things you love!
